At the sub-50 metre level, most build management stops at coordination. Ten Ten Marine adds owner advocacy.
About Ten Ten Marine
Company Overview
Ten Ten Marine, founded by experienced yacht captain and build manager Eli Olive, manages new builds and represents owners on sub-50 metre projects at European yards. Eli's role is to be physically present at the yard — giving the owner the on-site visibility they wouldn't otherwise have — and to translate what's happening on the build into terms the owner can actually understand and act on, so European yacht builds meet American standards for effortless ownership, chartering, and time spent onboard.
Ten Ten Marine works alongside the owner's existing professional team — brokers, legal counsel, insurance advisors, and management companies — as the dedicated technical voice on the owner's side of the build.
The engagement lasts as long as the owner needs it. Ten Ten Marine works across the full spectrum — from contract through complete build management, mid-project troubleshooting and intervention, through to delivery, launch, and beyond. No fixed packages. Ten Ten Marine works to the owner's program.
Our Value
No one would buy a $30 million property in Europe without someone on the ground actually looking at it on their behalf. A yacht build, at a comparable price and with far more that can go wrong along the way, deserves the same standard.
About Eli Olive, Founder & Principal
USCG Master 3,000 GT · 15 Years Active Command · Fort Lauderdale, FL
Eli Olive is a USCG Master 3,000 GT captain who has been in the industry since 2008. His maritime education began at the Australian Maritime College, where he completed Master Class 5 studies in 2011 — AMSA Class 5 and Marine Engine Driver Grade 3 — before completing his US credentials at Maritime Professional Training in Fort Lauderdale in 2015, including the full Oceans Endorsement coursework for the USCG Master 3,000 ITC licence.
In fifteen years of active command aboard motor and sailing yachts across the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and US waters, Eli built his standing as an industry problem solver — overhauling crew mid-season, pulling shipyard periods back from the edge, and making builds that had gone sideways whole again. He was featured in Boat International and Dockwalk magazine (October 2023) for his reputation for fairness and hard work. Those who have worked with him know him equally for his humour and the composure he brings when situations are at their most pressured — qualities that prove their value precisely when a build is under strain.
That same stretch also shaped a deep understanding of what owners actually need from a vessel — not just that it functions correctly, but that it works for how they live, entertain, and operate onboard. Managing owner programs alongside active command gave him a perspective most build managers don't carry.
Eli brings that experience to every project as a trusted, owner-focused adviser — willing to make the call others won't, to say clearly what needs to change, what isn't right, and what the owner's options are. At this size of build, that kind of direct, technically grounded counsel is rarer than it should be. Ten Ten Marine was built around it. Eli is a US citizen based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — the right base for a practice focused on builds intended for American waters and US operational requirements.
Sub-50M Vessel Specialization
Proven. Reliable. Trusted.
Proven Across the Yards That Matter
Eli maintains working relationships across the yards that matter most to a sub-50 metre American-market build — from Overmarine in Italy, to Safe Harbor Rybovich North in the Palm Beaches, Bradford Marine in Fort Lauderdale, and Newport Shipyard in Rhode Island.
Recent Deliveries
In the past year, Eli delivered two yachts to new owners: an Oceano 39-metre from Mangusta in Viareggio, Italy, and a PB70 from Palm Beach Motor Yachts in Stuart, Florida.
Warranty Periods Managed
Three shipyard warranty periods completed — at Bradford Marine, Safe Harbor Rybovich North, and Lauderdale Marine Center — each engaging the build shipyard, third-party contractor, and owner simultaneously to keep the vessel moving through the repair process.
From paint disputes to leaking watertight doors, Eli has worked directly with all parties to remedy warrantied issues — whether cosmetic, mission-critical, or unserviceable machinery in spaces that were an afterthought in the original build.
